Quick guide to skin-boosting snacks
Gorgeous skin with a natural glow is top of everyone's beauty wish list and more and more of us are seeking chemical-free ways to boost our skin. Specialist treatments like our Caci Synergy therapy go a long way to boosting glow and confidence but being mindful of what we eat will maximise the benefits. Here's our guide to the top five foods for gorgeous skin.
Walnuts
These little nuts are packed with omega 3 fatty acids which are essential for protecting cell membranes. Strong cell membranes mean your skin is protected from harmful elements, as well as increasing moisture retention, which is essential for smooth, glowing skin.
Strawberries
Strawberries are packed with vitamin C which helps reverse skin damage - good news for those days when we've been caught out by the sun. Vitamin C stimulates the production of collagen, which means fewer wrinkles and a smoother skin texture.
Almonds
Almonds are chock-full of Vitamin E, your skin's ultimate protector, keeping all those free radicals from UV and pollution at bay. On the front line for protection, vitamin E keeps guard over the outer membrane, protecting the cells beneath. Just a handful of these tasty treats will give you the recommended amount.
Dark Chocolate
We wouldn't expect to include chocolate in a list of skin-boosting foods, but the high levels of flavonols in quality dark chocolate can protect against sun damage, as well as increasing skin density and hydration. It's important to choose wisely, so go for a variety that has a high cocoa content.
Eggs
Eggs contain cholene and lutein, both essential for beautiful skin. Cholene regulates vitamin b which is essential for producing skin-friendly proteins like collagen and elastin, while lutein has amazing antioxidant properties to prevent skin damage.
